What material is used for LadyGum® costume jewelry?
Our LadyGum® jewelry is made of silicone, an innovative material that is widely used, particularly in the kitchen: molds, utensils, etc. We chose this material because at the time we lived in the West Indies, and all my jewelry deteriorated because of the sun and sea bathing... So I asked myself the question "how can I create costume jewelry that will last?"... and silicone was a revelation!

Why use silicone for costume jewelry?
Silicone is not afraid of water, heat or light: perfect for jewelry that can be worn every day! Indeed, our LadyGum® jewelry is suitable for all activities: sports, the beach, the swimming pool... They have these advantages that other materials do not have. In addition, it is a flexible and light material, the jewelry weighs only 20 g, we would almost forget them during the day!

Is silicone a fragile material?
Silicone is resistant to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and has good resistance to ultraviolet rays. In addition, it is a fairly stretchy material, to be able to close the jewel you can pull on the T clasp without "breaking" it. Of course, you should not compete to be the strongest by playing with the jewel... it remains a costume jewel.

Can the color of LadyGum® costume jewelry rub off on the skin?
The color of our LadyGum ® jewelry is obtained by pigment mixed with the silicone material. It is therefore in very small quantity. There is no risk of discoloration on the skin.

How to adjust the size of LadyGum® costume jewelry?
The length is adjustable on all our LadyGum® jewelry, except earrings. Our necklaces, bracelets and anklets have 2 ends: one with small holes and the other with a T clasp.

It is very simple :
1. Place the jewel around your neck, wrist or ankle.
2. Hold the T clasp in one hand and the hole chosen according to the desired length in the other.
3. Place one end of the T clasp in the chosen hole
4. Carefully pull the T clasp with one hand and the rest of the adjustable length with the other.
5. The jewel is closed and holds!

Advice :
Once the length of the jewel is adjusted, you can cut the excess silicone without any risk of damaging it.

How to maintain LadyGum® costume jewelry?
Our LadyGum® jewelry does not require any special maintenance. You can follow these tips to ensure a long life for your jewelry:

• After sport, swimming or sea bathing: rinse the jewel with clean, soapy water, then leave to air dry or with a cloth.
• Store the jewel in its original pouch to avoid dust build-up, don't worry, it has shape memory so there is no risk of it becoming deformed.
• Tip to revive the black of the jewel: if the jewel tarnishes, apply a dab of moisturizer on the jewel then let it dry. Use your body cream, without risk of staining the jewel.
